Hey, so you’re based in Redpilled, right?

You figured out the stakes in the world. You figured out the system’s bad. You figured out blah blah blah. Who knows?

There’s one choice that comes to a lot of people who reach this conclusion, and that is: the system is evil. So, what do I do? Do I fight the system? Do I vote harder? Do I get a normie job and try to serve as a sleeper cell in the system? Do I try to subvert it, or do I not participate in it? Do I exit the system? Do I create my own alternative?

That’s a debate you’re going to see all over the place. And before we even get started, I think I want to say it’s a false dichotomy in the first place. Okay? Now, I think anyone watching my channel will say if I had to choose one or the other, I would definitely choose the second option: exit the system. Don’t participate. The system’s evil. The system corrupts not just everything; it corrupts you, even when you don’t notice it.

You know, I was in the system for a decade or so of my life, well really all my early life as well. But either way, it’s a false dichotomy in the first place. And I want to be clear: a lot of people, if I say something in my videos that says you need to be careful about having a normie job, you need to be careful even if you’re making lots of money about having too much of your livelihood in the system, people will say, “Oh, you’re just a lar. You just want people to disappear into the woods or something like that.”

And firstly, that’s nonsense. I will just say, just to give myself as an example—not to say that I’m representative of everyone—we live in a unique time where we have a degree of technology that allows me to live in the woods and still have a decent effect on the mindset of many thousands of people around the world. Okay, that’s something to bear in mind. When I meet people who know who I am, there is a little bit of a gravitas that comes with that. Right? So it’s not as if I moved into the woods personally. I’m talking about myself here. It’s not as if I moved into the woods and abandoned everything else.

I think the real issue about divesting from the system is that when it comes down to it, most of the fights that the system puts in front of you—the daily grind of political news, the current thing of the month—most of that stuff is distraction and agitprop. They want you to waste your energy, to waste your psychic and spiritual power on these things that they have control over.

And I think it’s important for people who want to be, quote-unquote, in the system subverting the system—whatever they think that is—to realize that they need to learn how to not be affected by the world. You know, be affected, and it happens. Listen, I was in universities for more than a decade, okay? I thought I was so redpilled on everything. But still, when I left, I realized that the social effect it had on me—in terms of the impressions it causes in your brain—it still had an effect on me, as independent as I thought I was.

Right? And so many times I’ve seen guys, even who I respect. I can think of one example. Some of you guys know who this is. There’s a guy who I respected, and at some point, he got a Twitter account. Okay? And originally, he’s posting cool. He’s just posting his ideas on Twitter, and they sound good. But I would check it every once in a while, and I would just see as the months rolled on, he changed. You know, he started having these nuanced takes that really undermined him. He was infighting; he was doing all these silly things. And when the COVID hoax came around, he just took it hook, line, and sinker. You know, it’s just pathetic.

And you know, that’s the kind of thing I think it’s important for people to realize: when you are institutionalized, when you are in the enemy’s system playing by their rules, even if in your delusion you think that you are going to have some positive effect, you are mentally encapsulated. I mean, you are totally surrounded. You know, your entire environment is exactly what they give you, and it’s very… I just remember when I left the university. It’s hard to explain. You know, I was like, “Dude, am I just not drinking fluoridated water anymore or something? Is that what happens?” Because my mindset cleared up. I suddenly saw all these things that I’d been tactically blind to, I guess. You know, you become, I think, more spiritual, more aware of the world as it actually is.

And you’re less… you know, the system really produces this daily grind of values that you’re supposed to have and participate in, and that is how they get to you. They can take a lot of your energy against the system and rework it. You’re just going to be in a position of anger. You know, I had a friend who, against my recommendation, continued into grad school. Eventually, he met this professor who had gone his entire life doing all this research, and he always had these red pill beliefs about certain groups out there that are influencing America in particular.

And you know, this retired professor went his entire life as a sleeper cell, and he did nothing. He retired and grumbled about all the things he couldn’t say. He said, “Now I can write those books,” but now he’s old and decrepit, and he can’t do anything about it. The thing is, you think in your head because you’ve found truths that those have inherent value. You know, maybe they do; maybe there is some moral or spiritual value to that in itself. But when you participate in the system every single year, thinking about your raises, thinking about going further, investing more of your life in that system, you are more and more restrained in how you move.

What happens at the end is whatever ideas you might have in your head that could save the world or make a difference, you’re going to die with those ideas, and that’s going to be it. It’s just over. And you might say, “Oh, I’m going to raise my children right?” Blah, blah, blah. But you’re just passing the torch to them. You haven’t given them a solid foundation, and it relies on all of them to make the right decision just to keep the thing going, you know? And most of them aren’t. You know, if you raise your kids in the world, they’re going to be worldly. That’s just how it is, you know?

And so this, I think, is… you know, I’m not against people who put their toes in the system. You know, obviously, I’m not telling everyone just to quit your job now. Dude, quit your job; it’s awesome. Dude, it’s going to be great. There are many struggles that you have to go through; there are many things you have to figure out. But I will just say I think it’s important for you—

You know, even boomers will say this thing: when you get a job, the first thing you should do is write your resignation letter and put it in your drawer and get psychologically ready to leave it. And the sad thing is, you know, people will just get so drawn into the jobs they have. And importantly, those jobs create a lifestyle of wasting money and living an entirely different thing than how you should live that is actually unlivable outside of the system.

So, however much you might despise how the world works, you cannot function without it. You know, the important thing should be weaning yourself off of that system. If you truly believe that the world has gone awry, right, you have to wean yourself from that, and it’s a painful process. It’s a process none of us have completely done. You have to associate with better people. You have to start step by step because when the quote-unquote system collapses, however you want to put it, you have to pick up the gauntlet and provide a life in a way that—like, obviously, you need to learn how to live that life.

You know, a lot of times, some of the people who are doing best are these intentional communities, be they religious or not. You know, hippies, all these kinds of guys, they have the right impulse. And again, moving away from the system physically is not the same thing as disappearing into nothingness and having no effect on the world. It’s just the opposite. You know how many… I wish I could dox all these guys that I know who say, “Oh, I’m so super redpilled. Got this job. I’m working hard. You know, I’m making lots of money.”

Luke, let me tell you about it. And then, oops, one off-color joke, and it’s all gone. And it’s like, you could have just done what I did. You know, you could have just… I don’t know. Not even to put myself as an example; that’s not really my point. But even if you are working the same job, it’s important for you to be psychologically independent of the system. Even if you are pulling a paycheck from some kind of Fortune 500 company and you are financially tied to that, again, you have to have your resignation letter at all times for when the next vaccine comes—metaphorical vaccine. I’m not talking about specific vaccines.

You have to be ready. You know, you have to be psychologically ready. You have to be economically ready. You can’t raise your kids, you know, going to fast food and playing with plastic toys they have to buy every week. You know, you don’t want to have that lifestyle. You have to live apart from it.

So, you know, again, I’m not… I will not knock people who have toes in the system. If there’s a guy and he wants to be in local politics or even like politics a little higher and he thinks he can have an effect, sometimes he can. But most of the time what happens is those guys get eaten up. Their views change over time; they don’t even realize it, and then they die, and no one knows what went on in their head, and they’re just another functionary in the system. You know, that is what I’m worried about.

And again, I’m not… there are people I know who I think have done a good job of having… I don’t really… I can’t really give an endorsement to anyone in particular, but I think there are some guys who can play that well, you know, having kind of a normie job. But honestly, there will come a time—the system is getting tighter and tighter and tighter with every single year, and the amount of absurdity that they put in your face to test you, ultimately to test and see if you are obedient to the system.

A lot of this race and gender stuff exists as agitprop to make you angry, to psychologically oppress you. But most of the reason it exists is not because, “Oh, we’re supposed to debate about it.” There’s some stupid debate. No, it exists to see how loyal normies will be to the most absurd things. That’s the test they use, you know? And if you’re in the system, even if you know everything and you see through it, you are going to be affected by those things, and you are investing.

You know, people will say, like, these guys who are justifying it will say, “Oh, you’re wasting your time if you’re just simplifying your life or you’re trying to build your own thing.” Whatever it is, you know, tell people to be independent of the system. Man, you need to invest more; you need to get more money; you need to blah blah blah. And I think my mindset is, again, like you can lose that in the blink of an eye.

Whereas, you know, the real goal is creating long-term intergenerational stability. That’s it. That’s all it is. You know, and the system itself does not offer that by definition. It is an eternal revolution; it’s an internal change. The values that they enforce today will be utterly gone in five years. They’ll have new scopes for you. And some of these scopes that they’re doing now will be so memory-holed in the same way stuff in 2020 has been memory-holed so badly that, you know, there’s no stability.

And ultimately, the brilliance of this eternal cultural revolution is making sure that society at large is raising children. It’s creating the next generation, giving them values, and it tears them away from their own parents who just grew up in the 1990s or the 2000s, blah blah blah. That’s the goal, you know?

So, I disagree with this very idea of a dichotomy between participating in the system and exiting the system. But the people who are telling you, in most cases, to participate in the system are delusional. And they’re not saying it because they genuinely have sat down and thought about it. They’re saying it because they’re in the system; they’re trying to justify it. They feel comfort in that.

You know, it’s hard. It’s hard to say, “Okay, I’m going to have a job, but every dollar I save is about buying property. It’s about building something else. I want to live close to people. I want to buy land together.” All that kind of stuff. You know, I think it’s really important for people to realize you can leave the system and still have an effect on the world. In fact, you can’t really have an effect on the world when you’re in the system. You know, you can’t just vote harder.

So again, I won’t tell people never to participate, okay? I’m not one of these guys. But I think it’s important never to emotionally participate. If you can have a little effect on the world that is at no cost to you—you don’t put your neck out, you don’t do anything—by all means, please do it. Please have a positive effect on even the political system if you can. But as soon as you really put your neck out, as soon as you’re making decisions that further ensconce you in the system, it doesn’t matter what you believe. You are exactly the same as your worst enemy. You are still marching for the enemy.

And you might say, “Oh, I kind of disagree with this,” but you’re still going along. And that’s the problem. Okay, I belabored this a little more than I expected, but that’s my point, guys. See you next time.

Yes and no, as years go by, these obedient cogs are losing more and more teeth.  @LukeSmithxyz  I think a great indicator is the birth rate. The West is in serious decline (in Italy for example, it's a national emergency). Others come just to fill in the empty space and get a better looking cage than the one they had before,and eventually get the same fate through a single generation or two. It's hard to be moral when one gets rewarded in the system to be amoral,and we ourselves haven't evolved to live in huge cities, but rather communities of around 100 people where you know everyone and when a sanction hits because of your actions, you suffer far more as nobody wants to deal with you, hence promoting moral behavior (and if someone is helped, they are much more likely to return the favor at some point). The more I study Psychology the more it's obvious we've been conditioned to such an extent that we end up with a society degenerate in every sense of the word. Almost all industrialized nations have these issues by the way. Temptation is literally everywhere (even in your pocket) and it's easier for a monk who is isolated to deal with his struggles than for a man who is surrounded by bad influences everywhere at all times.+30

I'll be 50 in a couple of years, got divorced a few years ago, and I've been thinking so much about how I want the rest of my life to be. They love me and I keep getting raises and promotions, but I'm less and less happy. I have a schedule that has no consistency, and I am too tired to live my life when I get off, so I find myself working for the weekends and vacation. For me, this is a relevant dilemma - I've emotionally exited from politics, but I'm not materially independent. If you have artistic ambitions, things become more complicated because it's very difficult to find kindred spirits in Nowhereville. Philosophically, It's a mistake to see "The System" as one giant monolith: Systems are made of people, and people can per persuaded and pressured. If you're a simple carpenter, then yes, it doesn't make sense to try "taking on the system" because you don't have any real influence on decision makers. But if you do have connections or a knack for politics - it doesn't make sense to give up. Yes- the system will never conform to your exacting moral standards and some issues are too hot to touch, but you can still shift things in the right direction. I was watching his videos few years ago and thought that his views and takes are really interesting and allign with mine. But when I watch them now, I see some sprinkles of the core of his views (great exaple is the 'covid hoax' in this video). My theory is that his videos are fairly vague (e.g. he does not share the core of his views, just the more generic thoughs) on purpose, so they are more approachable. I've been churning this argument for a decade, but the decision was made for me, because at the same time I first started to grok it, I met my now wife who has no intention of exiting. There are some off the peg formula's for fighting the system. ERE by Fisker is the one that I found and it's fairly comprehensive as far as lifestyle design goes, but your right, the system has strong hooks and it's a lifework, fighting. You can exit, sure but so long as your connected to the network, you've not really exited in my book. It's a fools game anyway, because the system reaches far beyond the cities. You have to do what you can live with. No one will care about any of this, you or I, 300 years from now. I've settled for being a seed beneath the snow and hope to impart some values on my kids that will help guide them.+1

"Fighting the system" is kinda counter-productive imo. What works in (very) long term is trying to explain to others why some anti-systematic tools exists and how to use them. My top 1 anti-system tool is Bitcoin. Wooow, long time no see. Yeah normies feel themselves very insecure outside of the system, because it requires you to have wider expertise and also requires A LOT of responsibility. If one draws the analogy of this 'system' with both gambling and being a part of or living in Las Vegas then one see not only the futility of pursuing the system's endeavour but also how a system operates to perpetuate its state of being. Sounds good, doesn't work Some time ago I decided to "go out meet more people" as I had terrible view of others, to the point that I started to question if I just project the internet radicalism onto people at large. Oh, how wrong I was. Was attending philosophy meetings, people there even though helding above average positions were way worse in every aspect than I could imagine. They were way more stupid, way more hateful etc. many deserving woodchipper. Doesn't matter that many of them were part of the legal system, business people, academic or not teachers. To exit the system, first you need to exit from interacting with other people. If you are going to be able in a span of your life to meet 3 - not npc people, congratulations. Even by the logic used in the video you can't change anything outside of your own world, so it doesn't matter if you live in the woods or in a pod being fed roaches and watching slop.+1

This brings me to your point regarding no matter how well you raise a kid, they will 'become worldly.' Elite interests are not a homogeneous cabal capable of running mass social experiments. That defies all the evidence of history. The problem with authoritarian structures is their patterns of oppression and their debasement of individual autonomy. They achieve that not through intentional scheming and playing 4D chess, but fall into those roles as a well-studied feature of emergent systems and path dependencies.+3
